Served as Secretary of the Utah Lepidopterists' Society 3 times between 1988 and 1995.
Served as Editor of the bulletin Utah Lepidopterist for 4 years.
Wrote paper on the Papilio indra complex in Utah in 1995.
Featured or recognized in articles on Utah butterflies in the Deseret News, Salt Lake City Magazine, Sundance Catalog, Ensign, and Salt Lake City Weekly.
Provided Utah butterfly gardening presentation to the Utah Associated Garden Clubs annual board meeting on 16 Sep 2000.
Founder of Utah Bug Club for kids.
Wrote paper on "Discovering the Life History of Neophasia menapia in Utah" in 2002.
Worked with the Utah Museum of Natural History for the "Collector's Cabinet" tribute in 2003.
Wrote paper on "The Challenge of Raising Northern Utah Orange Tips" in 2005.
Provided Deseret News with information on Painted Lady migration in Spring of 2005.
